Things we learned
3 hours is never enough time for a beer festival. Always hit both sessions.
Comments are open! Leave some love!

Just listened to the new ep. … I was wondering when you’d get it out. Just listening to it brought
back all the good memories of the fest. Really a fest to go to .. a great time. I was impressed
that you guys did a “day/night double-header”, i.e., going to both sessions! That could be
dangerous. I see you picked the Pantius Droppus as your beer of the fest … my buddies and I
felt it was the ’surprise beer of the fest’. We’ll have to keep our eye on Ellicotville to see what
else they come up with in the future. Sorry I didn’t hit up Rust Belt, after Spun’s comments on
their Irish Red … a tough style to get right. Most homebrewers make their Reds/Ambers too
hoppy … and that’s not what the style is about. Check out BJCP guidelines … but I digress.
As always, fun to meet up with you guys at the fest, and hope we catch up with you again soon.
Perhaps at the BrewErie International Fest in November (I’m thinking Sat. Nov. 21st). Brad, I’m
throwin’ down the gauntlet for you … BrewErie Home Brew Fest, next March. I’m bringing 1 or 2
of my homebrews. Its a fun time … Matt (Voodoo), Gary (BrewErie), and brewer from Erie Brewing
are the judges. Oh, and I liked your picks of the BOTB fest … good stuff.
Cheers!
Bill, how do you get notified of our shows? I’m just curious to see how ppl find out
It was a no brainer that we would do 2 sessions when the first one was winding down and we had only hit 1/2 the ppl we wanted to. Thing is that when we do these fests we really don’t get to drink that much because we’re always busy talking.
Pantius Droppus was incredible and not because Jill (I think that was her name) was doing a fantastic job selling and modeling it
Rust Belt was the huge surprise for us since we’ve heard they were around but haven’t seen them. I’m trying to find some time that I can go up and visit the place.
Because of my new job my weekends are pretty much booked until the Spring but if sickpup is available I think he should enter. His beers are incredible.
cheers!
My first clue that a new ep. is available is that I get a FACEBOOK notice on my wall that a new ep.
of SIDT is availble. I usually then just go to your site to d/L the MP3 file. I’ll have to keep my eyes
open for the next fest that Rust Belt is attending (maybe I’ll check their site). Bummer about not having weekends free until Spring … that sucks. Oh well, at least you’re employed again. With time, they may give you “time off for good behavior”.
Cheers!
Ahhhh OK. Facebook has been REALLY slow lately when we release shows. Dont forget we have a mailing list too
I may not be around much for SIDT but you’ll always have sickpuppy till his ass gets a job
Sounds like Spoon is ready to bail on SIDT. Stan Laurel would have been nothing without Oliver Hardy.
Bud Abbot would have been nothing without Lou Costello. Sickpuppy won’t be the same withouth his
’sidekick’ (Spoon) either.
If I bail I’m taking the ship down with me. Don’t stand too close to the rails Bill and try to hold on.
hakuna matata bitches!
