Yes, takes guts to review your own homebrew on a vid and risk getting slammed. I’m sure your
‘pre-taste’ convinced you that it wouldn’t happen though. Before I bottled my ESB, I tasted it, and
knew I had a winner. Now that its 3 weeks old, its really coming into its own. I let a friend of mine
try it in a blind taste test against Great Lakes Moondog ESB, and Southern Tier’s Harvest Ale ESB.
My ESB won easily; better head/head retention, nose and taste .. at least according to my friend.
I noticed that your Chocolate rain was a little short in head/lacing. You might consider using some
malto-dextrin or oatmeal flakes, or even a bit of wheat malt to give you a better looking head. Just
a suggestion. If one or both of you guys make it to the BrewErie next month, I’ll bring along a sample
of my ESB for you to enjoy (or trash) on one of your shows.

Bill, based on what I sampled sickpuppy has one hella good thing going with his chocolate stout. I did pick on him though when he went to by the chocolate from the store. It’s one of those things that you had to be there for when he raves about chocolate.
DP, that’s cool! I’m anxious to read your opinion on it. I almost made a video of it but the photos I was taking of the glass and bottle were taking forever and I was thirsty.
Fellas….had an awesome time at PodCamp! You guys had a profound impact on the success of the event. The sidebar but not really was the after…afterparty on the Southside. What a good time! I bailed out and was calling a cab..got a savy limo dude who saw I was trying to get a ride home to drive me instead of the cab company. I was drinking Hoppin Frogs and Green Flash…following Sick Puppy’s lead and then when I woke up Sunday morning I couldn’t find my glasses. //segue// My website is hosted by my brother in Tacoma Washington. I was pimping my show with the Limo driver on the ride back to my hood and I axed him if he listened to podcasts…he said yes and I gave him a card. This evening my brother calls me and axes me if I wanted to participate in a drunk quiz: Where are your glasses?….I was like wtf…he says you don’t know but I do…..The dude called the comment line on my card (managed by my brother Sto http://www.puckertime.com) in Washington to tell him that my glasses were in his cab.
