I'm finding out that either you really like it or you don't. Some reviews I've read are completely different than what we experienced while others are dead on.

OK, I tried 3 of these over the weekend and they all sucked. Bad Elf, Insanely Bad Elf, and the nut brown. All crap. This is a case of great marketing and bad beer. I was highly disappointed.

Bill! Have a great holiday! That's an impressive list you have there. That Sammy Adams Imperial Pils is extremely hoppy and made me pucker after 3.

Bring it on buddy! I'm ready for your challenge!

cheers!

Yo, Dudes!

Just listened to Ep. 30 and enjoyed it. Thanks for the 'shout out' and for picking up on my "Chillada Challenge". Nice of you to review the "Elf" series, since I'd not had any of them myself. Of course, if I spy a new beer and I want to get some background on it, I always give it a quick check at the BeerAdvocate.com site, since you can find reviews for even the most mundane and obscure brews there.

Lookin' forward to a good 2008 for SIDT, as well as for craft brew lovers everywhere. Hope to catch up with you guys April 19th at the next BrewErie MicroBrew Fest.

Happy New Year ... Party Hearty!

Bill

PS: Just looking at my "stash" for over the New Years holidays. I have the following:

Victory Hop Wallop
Victory Storm King
Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner (seriously good beer!)
Penn. St. Nicklaus Bock
Erie Brewing Ol' Red Cease & Desist
Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout
Samuel Smiths Winter Welcome
Young's Double Chocolate Stout
Brooklyn's Chocolate Stout

Also have a 22 oz bomber of:
Moylan's Moylander IPA
Southern Tier's Un-Earthly IPA
Arcadia Hopmouth Double IPA
Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA

Think I got enough ??? Cheers - "ya bastards"

PPS. - I'm working on a challenge worthy of Fr. Spoon!
