Myself and Father Spoon arrived at our local 6 pack shop 3 Son’s Dogs & Suds Thursday after work for their weekly beer samplings. We expected the usual beer tasting event and were blown away when the founder of the Arcadia Brewing Company shows up direct from Battle Creek, MI to attend this event which featured several of the brewery’s beers (see the new pics on our flickr moblog). Most other beer samplings we have attended have the usual beer company “rep” that shows up to pimp the beers. While there is nothing wrong with that, we have the utmost respect for Tim Suprise (the founder, and yes that is his real name) when he makes the effort to set aside that much time (& mileage!) to attend a sampling of his brewery’s beer out of state. He was very informative and helpful to all of us who had questions regarding his beer styles. Look for a review of some Arcadia styles from SIDT in the very near future.
