Things we learned
- recording on a laptop and using a mic with 2 people is a bad idea. We’re shipping in new recording equipment as I type this.
- Judge Dredd, or any Stalone movie actually, is only funny when you’re loaded
- staying up until 4am recording a beer podcast when you have to be up at 8am is a BAD idea.
- Newman’s Own Salsa w/a hint of Lime and Lime Tostitos are gifts from the gods.
- If your beer has chunks, flush it.

Hey Guys great show. Being from the SoCA area, we get a lot of Mexican beer shoved down our holes. Negra Modelo is my favorite beer down there but it’s hard to beat a Sol and lime looking over Ensinada Bay. When in Rome (MEX). Keep up the great shows and stay away from thos aged Brazilian beers. The only thing that comes from there are hot women and good F1 drivers.
Salud y Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Thanks HogDAWG! The audio was subpar but i have better equipment on the way! I was suprised by the Negra, I expected it to SUCK! Definitely the shining star of the evening! The Brahma was bad enough when it was fresh!
Yeah, the Negra is not bad. Brother CHUMP indroduced us to this when he stopped by the studio. I had never heard of it either and was quite suprised.
Great show guys… Loved it. One thing that stuck out… Is it Ba-Ha Cali, or Basia Cali? Maybe Hawg can let us know.
Gotta run, I have some beer to pour out…
Groucho
I thnk we need to have an intervention for brother Groucho
I hope your pouring out Barley Wine!
It is pronounced Ba-Ha. Drink more Mexican beer and it will flow real easy. The language caters to a drunken slur. Sick, we just picked up a new mixer for our podcast. I forgot the name of it but Clarke has it at the brewery. We just got done recording a new ep on it and our sound quality inproved a lot. We posted it this morning on our blog. Groucho helped us out a lot when we got started.
Groucho, hopefully you’re pouring that beer out of the bottle and into your mouth!
Loved your show, dudes. We talked about you guys on our show a bit. The video of sickpuppy and that old Brahma will stay with me forever.
You have guts for sticking with the Mexican beer theme. It’s OK stuff, but I can’t sit and drink it one after another. I don’t have time for weak piss beer. My belly deserves better.
Don’t worry about the audio quality. Your show’s really funny and easy to listen to. True fans of your show will appreciate it whether it sounds good or not. I love it. Keep ‘em coming.
I think I need to watch out on how much we abuse sickpuppy. The secret to drinking the mexican beer was keeping it chilled, opening your throat and not thinking about the swill.
We’re going to toss around a couple ideas for the next video we’ll shoot. I have some ideas but i’m not sure how well sickpuppy plays with fire.
For you newbies to our little beer podcasting community go check out Dude Night at http://clarkehead.blogspot.com/
I don’t mind doing stupid shit as long doesnt affect my overall health! We’ll have to discuss the whole fire thing! FIRE….BAAAD!! ARG!!
Actually JeffreyT from the beer report coined the “football beer” expression. I don’t want him thinking we ripped him off!! I’ll accept credit for calling bad beer “rat piss” which is an oft used term that my wife has been using for years. Great show and information! I’m impressed y’all did research.
Damn. Correction to my correction.
JeffreyT from “THE GOOD BEER SHOW.” http://www.goodbeershow.com – not the Beer Report. I had my head up my arse.
No problem d00d! I actually knew that, but I think the beer took over and I just associated the “football beer” quote with you guys, my apologies to both! I was drunk!
Finally had a chance to listen to the show. Very good show guys! The Negra Modelo is about the only Mexican I really like and the only one I will order in a mexican place (if there is nothing else better).
There is also a Modelo Especial
http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/modelo-especial/744/
that I have been wanting to try.
Something to point out when Father Spoon was commenting his Lager was light in color. The color of a beer isn’t dependent if its a Lager or and Ale. The difference between a Lager and an Ale is the type of yeast and the temperatures used during fermentation. Lagering uses yeast that works at a lower temperature. This results in fermentation taking longer compared to an Ale giving it a different flavor. All this is in general. People do all sorts of wacky stuff like lagering with Ale yeast and brewing with lager yeast at Ale temperatures, etc. The color comes from how the barley is roasted.
Anyway, excellent show I enjoyed it greatly. Anxiously waiting for the next one.
They had the Modelo Especial at 3 Sons but we chose the Negra. Glad we did too
I should probably clear up my lager comment after what you wrote made me realize what I said. I’ve had a few lager in my time but mostly the same brand. Not really a lager person besides Yuengling. The ones I have had though, have held the same consistency for color and head.
I think we’ll have to do a Lager show now. That’s one thing that i love about doing these reviews is hands on education. Thanks for the heads up BuBBy. Knew there was a reason we keep you around
I gave Spoon my old “Beer for Dummies” book, he just needs to study more!
ya know, as much as i try to burn the “for dummies” books the Beer one is really good for starting with home brewing.
Wonder if joe reads it?
That is a really good book, I was suprised as well. I’ll ask him if I end up going to the Fox & Hound!
Now Now… Don’t talk about Joe… He is lible to come over here and start pissing on your forum as well!
that’s a good idea. maybe i’ll disable comments for show posts so you jagoffs go to the forums.
Cool site dudes!!!!
I still think we should make a web site dedicated to the Inbreds at all Western Pa Wal-Marts!!!
Jeff, that would be a never ending website as inbreds spawn everyday
Besides, I’d hate to be the person that has to take all of their pictures.
